My name is Simon Rhodes and I developed the passion for what I do from helping my late dad Peter Rhodes. He introduced me in to his industry at the young age of 12 and I learnt so much from him. My dad had the highest obtainable qualification NTC6 in air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation, I learnt from the best. When I matriculated from Wynberg Boy’s High school in 1998 I took over Home Appliances and we built up a very happy clientele. Sadly my dad passed in late 2017 and I decided to take on a new challenge in Australia in late 2018. I took on the role of Operations and cold chain manager for a new up and coming fishery where I furthered my expertise.
In 2019 we were blessed with a little boy after many miscarriages. We now have our perfect family wife Carmen Rhodes, precious daughter Caitlyn Amber Johnson and little Liam Rhodes. We realized how much we miss South Africa, family and friends and decided to move back to South Africa in early 2020 and start Service Specialists. I have a trade certificate in air conditioning and Refrigeration and I am highly experienced. I am always furthering my knowledge in my field and strive to be the best at what I do, which I can honestly say I am.
Where Our Name Comes From
When thinking of a new company name we decided on Service specialists due to us been qualified in all aspects of the services on offer making us specialists. The heartbeat in the Logo is of huge significance, it was my dad’s last recorded heartbeat before his passing and he was the life of this business and our passion.
